Welcome toThe Professional Photographers of Canada- Atlantic/ Atlantique
formerly The Maritime Professional Photographers Association

We are a group of dedicated photographic artists bound by our Association's code of ethics.  Our members strive to be the best that they can be to serve our clients with the highest standard of service possible.

75 Years of quality and service to the Atlantic Provinces since 1933

Our association was founded in 1933 by a Saint John NB photographer named Harold deS Climo.  He was responsible for inviting professional photographers across the maritimes to join forces to look out for their best interests. Some of the first things they established were legislation to license fees against the itinerant photographer, and the ability to bring photography equipment not made in Canada into the country free of duty. This group of professionals promoted a spirit of goodwill and fellowship among members, and as a group they were able to bring in educational speakers that were at the top of their fields. Education, legislation for copyright, goodwill and fellowship has continued to be the focus of the PPOC Atlantic.

We have recently celebrated the 75th anniversary of our association and we are more proud than ever of who we are and where we come from!  We are always striving to learn and develop, especially as the digital age is still rapidly changing our field.

Congratulations!!
